Activity Log & Audit Trail
See exactly what happened on any request — every decision, routing evaluation, and email sent, with who did what and when — from one timeline on the request itself.
Updated
Every request in ApproveThis keeps a running timeline of what happened to it: each decision, each routing evaluation, and each notification sent, with who did it (or 'System') and when. This guide covers reading that timeline from the request itself after recording a decision. You'll need a request waiting on you as an approver. The Activity Log is available on all tiers.
Who this is for: user.
Approve the pending request, then open its 'Activity Log' from the request header and confirm the decision and the notification sends are recorded
When someone later asks who approved a request and whether the right people were notified, the request's own timeline is the record — it lists each decision, routing step, threshold check, and every notification with the named recipient and their role. Note that rows about automated-action failures and retries are visible only to users who can edit the workflow.
