CC Approval (approvals@ email)
Turn any email thread into a tracked approval request just by CC-ing your team's approvals@ address — no form, no setup, and the people on the To line become the approvers.
Updated
CC Approval turns an ordinary email thread into a tracked approval request: you CC your team's approvals@ address, and everyone on the To line becomes an approver. This guide covers the approver's side — deciding on a request from the 'CC Approval Request' email that ApproveThis sends you. You'll need a CC approval request already waiting on you as an approver; the email arrives on its own once someone CCs the address.
Who this is for: user.
Open the email inbox and find the 'CC Approval Request' email sent to the approver
When someone CCs the approvals@ address on an email addressed to you, ApproveThis emails you a 'CC Approval Request' message with the original subject as the request title. Finding that email is how you get to the decision buttons — the approvals@ address itself is not shown anywhere in the product UI, so the email is your entry point.
-
Sign in as the user who was on the To line of the original email.
-
Open your email inbox.

Step 2 -
Open the CC approval request email — its subject is the subject of the original email (Approval Request: Sponsorship for the harvest festival in the example screenshots).

Step 3
The email opens with the request's subject line as its heading — Approval Request: Sponsorship for the harvest festival in the example.
Click Approve in the email — the request is approved without logging in
The Approve and Deny buttons in the email work through a personal signed link, so you can decide without logging in. Note that every valid address on the To line is an approver and all of them must approve before the request is approved — there is no quorum or routing option.
-
Click Approve.

Step 1
The page confirms your decision with You approved this request. We'll let everyone know.
