Quorum & Majority Voting
When a step has several approvers, decide what counts as approved — everyone, a majority, a fraction, or a specific number — so one busy calendar doesn't stall the whole request.
Updated
Quorum and majority voting controls how many approvers on a gate step have to respond before the step resolves. By default a step waits on every approver assigned to it; with a quorum setting you can pass the step on a majority, a fraction, or a fixed count instead. This is for Administrators configuring a flow that has several approvers on one step, where a single unavailable person would otherwise hold up the request. You'll need a flow with a gate step that already has multiple approvers assigned.
Who this is for: admin.
Require a majority instead of everyone
When a step has several approvers and everyone must respond, one person out of office stalls the request; switching that step to a majority lets it resolve as soon as enough approvers weigh in. Quorum applies to any gate step, including the approval-table (lookup) step — existing lookup steps with no quorum setting stay on quorum=all, so prior behavior is preserved until you change it.
-
Sign in as an Administrator.
-
On the step you want to change, click Configure step.

Step 2 -
Click Settings.

Step 3 -
Click Majority must approve to set the quorum for this step. The step now resolves once a majority of its approvers have responded, and it can deny early — remaining pending approvals are auto-retracted at that point.

Step 4 -
Click Close to return to the flow.

Step 5
The step's approval requirement now reads Majority.
