In-App Notification Center
A bell in the top navigation with a live unread count and a dropdown of recent approval activity — jump straight to the request that needs you without digging through email.
Updated
The in-app notification center is the bell in the top navigation, present on every authenticated page. It shows a live unread count and opens a panel of recent approval activity, so you can go straight to the request that needs you instead of searching your email. This guide is for any signed-in user with unread notifications waiting. Note that the panel lists unread items only, capped at the eight most recent — there is no full notification history page, so once an item is read it disappears from the panel.
Who this is for: user.
Open the bell and click one notification — it is marked read and takes you to the request it concerns
When a request lands on your desk, the bell badge tells you without opening your inbox, and clicking the item takes you directly to the request it concerns. Opening an item also marks it read, which removes it from the panel — the panel has no history view to return to it.
-
Sign in to ApproveThis. The bell in the top navigation carries a red badge with your unread count (counts past nine display as 9+).
-
Click Notifications to open the notifications panel, which lists your eight most recent unread items, each with a title and how long ago it arrived.

Step 2 -
Click the notification you want to act on — the example screenshots show New approval request 5 minutes ago. The item is marked read and you land on the request it concerns.

Step 3
You've arrived at the right place when the request page shows Awaiting Your Approval.
Open the bell again and click 'Mark all read' to clear the remaining unread notifications
After a busy stretch, the panel can hold several items you have already handled elsewhere. Clearing them all at once resets the badge so the next notification that appears is one you actually need to see.
-
Click Notifications to reopen the panel and see the remaining unread items.

Step 1 -
Click Mark all read to clear every unread item at once.

Step 2
The panel confirms the clear by reading You're all caught up.
