Approval Workflows
The whole point, end to end — someone asks, the right person signs off, and everyone can see what happened. One request's full life: submitted through a form, routed to its approver, decided.
Updated
Approval Workflows carry a single request from submission to decision: someone fills out a flow's form, the request routes to its approver, and the approver records a decision. This guide follows one request's full life across both roles — the Requester who submits it and the Administrator who approves it. You'll need a published flow with a form, like the Purchase Requests flow used in the example screenshots. Monthly approval-request volume is capped by your workflow tier (25–1000 requests), and requests past that draw on overage capacity.
Who this is for: requester, admin.
Submit a request through the flow's form
This is how work enters ApproveThis: a Requester fills in the flow's fields and submits, which creates the request and routes it to its approver. Everything the approver later sees comes from what you enter here.
-
Sign in as the Requester.
-
In Item, enter what you're requesting — e.g.,
Team offsite venue deposit.
Step 2 -
In Amount, enter the figure being requested — e.g.,
1200.
Step 3 -
Click Submit.

Step 4
The form confirms the submission with Thanks for filling out the Purchase Requests.
Approve the request
Once a request is waiting on you, this is where you review it and record the decision that closes out that step. Approving from the request itself keeps the decision attached to the submitted details, so anyone reviewing later sees what was actually signed off.
-
Sign in as the Administrator.

Step 1 -
Click Purchase Requests to open the flow the request was submitted to.

Step 2 -
Click Table to list that flow's requests.

Step 3 -
Click the request you're deciding on — the example uses Team offsite venue deposit.

Step 4 -
Click Approve.

Step 5
The request confirms your decision with You Approved This Request.
