Kick off an approval by filling out a flow's form — answer its questions, attach any required documents, and submit; approvers are notified instantly.

Submitting a request starts an approval by filling out a flow's form: you answer its questions, attach any documents it asks for, and submit. This guide is for the Requester who needs to get something approved. You'll need a flow's form open in front of you — it can be reached several ways, including a public link, a flow's New Request button, or a template card, and this guide picks up once the form is on screen. Once you submit, approvers are notified.
Who this is for: requester.
Fill out the form, attach the receipt, and submit the request
This is how a Requester gets an approval moving — everything the approver needs to decide (amounts, descriptions, supporting files) is captured in one submission. The fields you see depend on the flow you're filling out; the example here is an expense report form.
-
Sign in as the Requester.
-
Enter the value the field asks for in Amount — for a purchase total, that's the amount being claimed (e.g.,
245.50).
Step 2 -
Attach the supporting document the form requires using Drag & Drop your files or Browse — for an expense report, that's the receipt file (e.g.,
sample-receipt.png).
Step 3 -
Describe what the request covers in What was purchased — enough detail for an approver to decide without asking (e.g.,
Deposit for offsite venue rental for the fall client appreciation event).
Step 4 -
Click Submit.

Step 5
The form is replaced with a confirmation reading Thanks for filling out the Expense Reports.
