Resend an Approval Request

Resend an Approval Request lets you send an approver the same approval email again — with working links — when the original never landed. You do it from the request's activity log, so there's a record of the resend alongside the rest of the request's history. This is for Administrators and Users who need to unblock a request that stalled because the notification went missing.

Resend the approval request from the request's activity log

When an approver says they never got the email, resending from the activity log gets them the same request again without creating a duplicate. The log also records that the resend happened, so you can see who was notified and when.

1. Sign in to ApproveThis as an Administrator.

2. Open the flow that contains the stalled request — the example screenshots use Contract Sign-offs 1.

   

3. Click the request you need to resend — it appears as New Request in the example screenshots.

   

4. Click Activity Log to see the request's history.

   

5. Click Resend to send the approval email again.

   

The activity log adds an entry confirming the resend — in the example screenshots it reads Notified Priya Raman (approver) — Approval request Resent.

Open the email inbox and confirm the approver received the approval email again

Checking the inbox confirms the resent email actually arrived and carries working approval links, so you know the approver can act rather than waiting on another follow-up.

1. Open the approver's email inbox — the example screenshots use the demo tenant's mailbox.

   

2. Open the message from ApproveThis.

   

The email opens with the subject Approval Request Received, confirming the approver has the request again.
