Approval Certificates
Hand anyone a tamper-evident record of an approval — a downloadable certificate for a completed request, carrying a public verification link so a third party can confirm it's genuine without an account.

Approval Certificates turn a completed request into a downloadable PDF record of its approval. The certificate carries a public verification link in two forms — a QR code and the printed URL at the foot of the page — so anyone handed the document can confirm the approval is genuine without an ApproveThis account. This guide is for the Requester on an approved request; you'll need a request that has already been approved. Certificates are available on all tiers.

Download the approval certificate
When a vendor, auditor, or colleague asks for proof that a request was approved, you need something you can send them outside the app. Downloading the certificate gives you that document, and the Activity Log keeps a record of each download so you can see when a copy was taken.

Sign in as the Requester on the approved request.

On the green approved bar, click Download Certificate to save the certificate PDF.

Click Activity Log to see the download recorded against the request.

The request confirms the certificate was saved with Downloaded approval certificate in the activity entries.
Confirm the certificate verifies as genuine
Before you hand the certificate to a third party, check that its verification link resolves — that link is what proves the approval is genuine to someone who has no ApproveThis account. Visits to the verification page are recorded in the request's Activity Log as well.

Open the verification link from the downloaded certificate — scan the QR code or type the URL printed at the foot of the page.
